Event #1: Basket Stuff and Wrap Night

Time:              TBD

Location:        Legacy Cafeteria

***Dinner will be provided for players and parent volunteers.  Please RSVP for this event by clicking HERE.

The Legacy Baseball Booster Club has an opportunity to again participate in stuffing, wrapping, and delivering baskets to the Joshua Station. This year, we will be providing 30 baskets for the Joshua Station residents. We will stuff and wrap them on December 12th and will deliver them the afternoon of the Joshua Station holiday party on December 15th.

Joshua Station is a faith-based community that helps families in need make the transformation from homelessness to a healthy, stable living environment. There are 30 rooms with about 60 children living there from newborn to teenagers. The women have about a 10 x 10 room with a microwave and a couple shelves. There is a community kitchen and they have a small cabinet to keep their families items and prepare their meals. The baskets mean a lot to these families. In addition, this is a wonderful community service opportunity that we are fortunate to be a part of and is truly one of the highlights of the season. We hope that your players can participate this year.

Below are some examples of basket items, although we are certainly not limited to these items, if a family wants to bring something similar. The items donated should have a longer shelf life and no heavy cans please.

Event #2: Basket Delivery Night at the Christmas Party

Date: TBD

Time: Seniors Baseball Players - 3:00 PM (meet at the Clubhouse at 1260 Huntington Trails Parkway, Westminster, CO 80023, and then we will drive to Joshua Station). We will need 4-5 vehicles to transport all the baskets to Joshua Station and deliver to their party room upstairs.

Location: Joshua Station: 2330 W. Mulberry Street, Denver, CO 80204

Coordinator: Kim Thompson at commandconcepts@aol.com or (909) 973-9774

Needs: We need 6-8 players to pick up the baskets from the Clubhouse and deliver to Joshua Station. We also need their help with set up and clean up for the holiday party. We would like to start with the senior Legacy baseball players, since this is their last year, and if more players are needed we will then look to the underclassmen for volunteers.
